We are currently in the beta stag of development for our up and coming Freelance Photos & Video Production Department. Due to the number of request for the service we are compelled to respond by adding this new dimension to our site services.
This Freelance Photo and Video Production Department will be established to assist photographers, and not infringe upon their ability to earn an independent descent income. We will only be working with a couple of select Still and Cinema Photographers in each specialty.
We are currently contracting additional Still and Cinema Photographers. The terms of our agreement with Photographers are as follows:
1) To apply you must submit a resume, website, and book of your work. If we contact you directly with an offer, this requirement is waved.
2) The Photographer is paid 90% of their standard rate (all rates are set by the individual photographer) for every shoot they perform for us. With exception to all shoots we arrange for them to increase their range of skills or book; this exception applies only to those that need that service and under this exception these shoots are unpaid.
3) We schedule based on your availability (dictated by calling when your services are needed); for modeling shoots, weddings, portraits, commercial productions, and actor head or body shots whether paid or for the purpose of building your book. On paid shoots the client makes a 10% deposit to us. We schedule the shoot with you and at that time provide you with contact information to discuss the shoot with the client prior to shooting day. If the client does not show or is more than 15 minutes late for the shoot we send you the entire deposit. When the client completes the shoot they pay the photographer directly 90% of their standard rate an amount previously agreed upon with us.
4) Whether you’re a seasoned professional with a studio or are a beginning professional building a strong book it’s our job to ensure that your prices are held fast and your work load is increased. Furthermore, it’s our purpose to see that you are gaining traction in the area of photography that interests you the most. Let us know what areas interest you and we will assist you in getting there. We make the calls, write the letters, and make the postings that get the work in the area you’re aiming for. You may continue to conduct your business as usual.
5) The photos produced in the shoots as well as samples of your previous work will be added to our website show case and used to promote the services of the Photography Department. We match clients with the best photographers their budget will allow in the genre of the work that needs to be completed.
6) For seasoned professionals with strong reputations and back grounds we provide assistant professional photographers when needed at no cost to them. These professionals are ready and willing to assist for an opportunity to learn more about a genre they make have little training in.
7) As a photographer in the department your name or phone number will not be listed on the site. Your work displayed on the site will represent that of the department. At anytime you are may withdraw from the department and remove your work from display if you feel we have not increase your business by 20% or for any other reason.
When we send a client to you that client becomes your client. Return visits from the client directly to you does not constitute an additional commission payment due to us. However, should the client return to us for additional services and we again arrange a shoot with you then the commission fee again applies.
